Your IFR friend
IFRiend is an app used by aviation enthusiasts to help them see exactly where they are during flight. Using your phone's GPS and a Google map overlaid by a real ATS route chart, you will be able to see your location next to IFR waypoints, VORs and more navaids that pilots use to navigate.
IFRiend has a bunch of cool features - like a built in DME (Distance Measuring Equipment), compass heading indication, battery saving mode, and more. Simply click a VOR on the map to tune its frequency in the DME.
More maps are coming in the future!
IFRiend requires an active data connection at the first time you launch it. You can use it offline and midair.
